On the evening of May 17th the prize winner concert of the music contest 2010 of the Carl-Philipp-Emanuel-Bach-Gymnasium took place in the Apollo-Saal of the Staatsoper. Luckily the Friends and Sponsors were provided with 30 free tickets which they could pass on to their members.
After a greeting by Catherine von Fürstenberg-Dussmann, representative of the sponsor Dussmann group and an introduction by Matthias Glander, solo clarinettist of the Staatskapelle that also provided the juror for the contest, the prize winners gave samples of their skills to the
attendant parents, friends and supporters.
The young musicians who are only 12 to 19 years old and were praised by Mr. Glander as “tomorrow´s artists” enthralled the audience without exception, whether on piano, clarinet, violin, harp, viola or on the marimba. A wonderful entertaining evening!
