After a great performance of »Entführung aus dem Serail« on September 19th, the Friends and Sponsors had the opportunity to get to know the young soprano Anna Prohaska more closly over a glass of wine.
The only 26year old very talented singer turned out to be a great and lively dialogue partner who answered the numerous questions of the associations´ members detailed and revealed many interesting details, private interests and likes and dislikes on- and backstage. She explained how she prepares for an opera evening and what she plans and hopes for the future. Coming from a musician family she was onstage at the Komische Oper Berlin at 17 already and has worked with numerous reputable directors such as Michael Thalheimer, Harry Kupfer, the duo Jossi Wieler & Sergio Morabito, the designated artistic director of the Staatsoper Jürgen Flimm and many others since then and was thus able to tell quite a lot about their characteristics and special staging wishes. The Production´s dramatic adviser Katharina Winkler who conducted the conversation, as well had exciting insider information to add, especially about the production »Entführung aus dem Serail«.
