Dress rehearsal symphony concert June 13th 2009

At the end of the season 2008/2009 we offered our young members the opportunity to experience the dress rehearsal to the last symphony concert of the term. It took place on June 13th 2009 at 10 am in the Großer Saal of the Philharmonie Berlin. Appropriate to the title of the evening programme »The sea«, parts of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy´s »Meeresstille und glückliche Fahrt«, Ernest Chausson´s »Poème de l´amour et de la mer«, Benjamin Britten´s »Four Sea-Interludes« from »Peter Grimes« und Claude Debussy´s »La mer« could be heard. The vocal parts were performed by the world famous mezzo-soprano Waltraud Meier, Philippe Jordan conducted the Staatskapelle Berlin.
