Henry Purcell puts us with his semi-opera »King Arthur« into a mythical time: In January, bold knights, charming granddadies, good as well as evil wizards, as well as dazzling air and earth spirits revive the founding myth of the British Isles. The production of Sven-Eric Bechtolf and Julian Crouch was premiered under the musical direction of baroque specialist René Jacobs on 15th January!
"Paris, mon amour", "Roman Politkrimi" and "Rising Sun meets Stars & Stripes" - Giacomo Puccini created incomparable masterpieces of the opera: "La Bohème", "Tosca" and "Madama Butterfly" will be shown again in the Schiller Theater.

After the sold out concerts in Paris, Berlin and Vienna at the beginning of January, the Staatskapelle Berlin has now arrived in New York to perform all nine Bruckner symphonies within a period of only eleven days.
