Beethoven-Zyklus III

Even the first »General Music Director« in Berlin, the Italian Gaspare Spontini, was at pains to include Beethoven’s symphonies in his concert programmes, such as Symphony No. 7 in 1824 and No. 6 in 1825. With both works, as different as they are in their structure and sound, Beethoven presented new and highly individual solutions in symphonic composition.
