The Staatsoper Unter den Linden - Frederick the Great's dream - has stood for outstanding musical theatre for over 275 years. No other art form is more multifaceted than opera, no other connects so many people on and behind the stage, no other succeeds in constantly reinterpreting the drama and comedy of human existence.

The international reputation of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden was once again demonstrated when the Staatsoper celebrated its 250th birthday in 1992. Renowned musicians and personalities from politics and business came together and founded the Friends and Supporters association of the Staatsoper in order to support the world-famous opera house both financially and ideally.

Members of the association experience a colourful programme of events inside and outside the Staatsoper. The association cooperates with various partners and sees itself as a platform for active involvement in the cultural life of the capital. In addition, our office offers an exclusive ticket service with special advance purchase rights and allotments for opera, concerts and ballet.
