Thanks to BMW BERLIN the event "Staatsoper for all" has been held right in the centre of the city since 2007. By now more than 40,000 concertgoers gather on Bebelplatz to listen to the open-air performance of the Staatskapelle conducted by Daniel Barenboim. BMW is also a major partner of the opera program for kids and youngsters at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden.

The LIZ MOHN KULTUR- UND MUSIKSTIFTUNG fund has been supporting the Opernstudio of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden and thus the training and formation of international talented young singers. Under the direction of conductor, pianist and vocal coach Boris Anifantakis it offers young talented singers the possibility to prepare themselves for an artistically demanding career in opera and musical theatre. The artistic director of the opera studio is Daniel Barenboim who is particularly interested in training promising young singers directly at the opera house and to consistently support their artistic development. Together with the Internationales Opernstudio, the Liz Mohn Kultur- und Musikstiftung also organizes a teddy-bear concert for 3 to 6 year old kids.

The BRITTA LOHAN GEDÄCHTNISSTIFTUNG fund supports the Orchesterakademie with Staatskapelle Berlin particularly in the purchase of new instruments, thus also promoting the development of gifted graduates of conservatories. They participate in concert, opera and ballet performances and receive individual lessons and chamber music tuition by mentors of the Staatskapelle. Furthermore, the fund supports the staging of the premiere of the opera "Mario und der Zauberer" for youngsters from 15 years on.
