Edward Elgar

VIOLIN CONCERT H MINOR OP. 61

Modest Mussorgsky

»BILDER EINER AUSSTELLUNG«

Dates

In addition to his well-known Cello Concerto, Edward Elgar also wrote a major concerto for the violin. Composed in 1910, it leads us back to the sound of late Romanticism, with high technical and creative demands. »Pictures at an Exhibition«, originally written for piano by Modest Mussorgsky, will be performed in the refined tones of Maurice Ravel’s orchestral version.
