Beethoven-Zyklus I

The FESTTAGE concerts of the Beethoven Anniversary Year 2020 are entirely dedicated to the composer’s symphonies. The first evening presents a compilation of Symphony No. 1, dedicated to his role model Haydn, his witty No. 8, which is an original play on musical elements, and the »heroic« No. 5, which, with its dramaturgic progression »from dark to light«, is one of the most famous works of the repertoire.
