Sustainable Listening #5

Forests are burning, glaciers are melting, the world's oceans are being poisoned and the 1.5 degree target seems unattainable. Helping to shape the transition to a sustainable society is not only a matter for business and research, but also for the cultural sector. The Staatsoper Unter den Linden is focussing on this social challenge with the music and discourse format "Sustainable Listening", which will run for several seasons: a walk-in climate capsule will become a place for impulses, exchange and participation with climate experts, activists and visionaries on various sustainability topics. The centrepiece of the new series is the concert performance: music played by musicians from the Staatskapelle Berlin,
who are involved in the Orchestra of Change, merges with live electronic sounds by the Teichmann brothers and impulse contributions to create an installative spatial experience. DJ and drinks invite you to exchange ideas, network and linger.
