Apollo-Salon 2026/27

A new format for what is probably Berlin’s most beautiful hall—the Apollo Salon is coming to the Apollosaal at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. On ten Sunday mornings each year, this particularly atmospheric venue in the heart of the vibrant city offers a unique experience: words and music engage in a lively dialogue—entertaining, inspiring, and surprising.

The Apollo Salon invites you to enjoy casual music-making, listening, conversation, and discussion—a space for encounters and exchange designed to open up a wide variety of perspectives on thought and artistic practice. Participants include musicians from the Staatskapelle Berlin, singers from the ensemble, and other faces and voices from the Staatsoper, right up to General Music Director Christian Thielemann. In addition, distinguished guests from society and the cultural world will enrich the Apollo Salon with a wide variety of relevant topics and creative formats. Interested audience members can look forward to musical performances—including chamber music, art songs, and much more—as well as stimulating conversations about current events and thought-provoking topics.
