Das Politikteil live with Anne Rabe

Ileana Grabitz (head of politics at ZEIT) and Peter Dausend (DIE ZEIT), the hosts of Das Politikteil, will discuss this topic on 25 November 2025 with bestselling author, award-winning playwright and essayist Anne Rabe – live at 7:30 p.m. in the Apollosaal of the Berlin State Opera Unter den Linden.
Rabe was born and raised in East Germany in the 1990s and writes in her autobiographical novel Die Möglichkeit von Glück (The Possibility of Happiness) about her generation, which grew up between dictatorship and democracy and whose ‘origins are a blank space’. In the summer of 2025, her new book Das M-Wort. Gegen die Verachtung der Moral (The M-Word: Against the Contempt of Morality) was published, in which she reflects on how and why morality is being pushed out of socio-political discourse.
