Nicolas Altstaedt & Alexander Lonquich
When Ludwig van Beethoven came to Berlin for the first and only time in the spring of 1796 he was in his mid-twenties – and with him, he brought his two Cello Sonatas op. 5. These two works will be played at this chamber concert as well as piano compositions by another Viennese Classicist, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, which he wrote only a few years earlier.
