The Advent Concert by the children’s choir of the State Opera, which together with the Staatskapelle Berlin offers a programme in the run-up to Christmas, has become a tradition that puts you in the yuletide mood. In addition to well-known Christmas carols, »The Children of Bethlehem« by the French composer and conductor Gabriel Pierné from 1908 resounds with melodic inventiveness.
